Bloody Ukiyo-e In 1866 & 1988 (1988)

Very first edition of Muzan-e or Bloody Ukiyo-e in 1866 & 1988 by Suehiro Maruo and Kazuichi Hanawa. Collection of original bloody ukiyoe by the likes of Tsukioka Yoshitoshi and the modern (for 1988) interpretations by two very creative Japanese illustrators. The condition should be considered very good, and there is some wear due to age and handling. Please see pics. There is a little bit of foxing on the reverse, blank side of the dust jacket, and very minor foxing on the blank pages at the rear and front of the book before the title page and credits. The main part of the book, however, is very clean.
