Silver age magazine giant Warren was established to challenge the status quo of the American comic book industry. Due to an increase in violent, graphic and sexually explicit comics that were being produced in the 1940s and 1950s, the Comic Code Authority was established to censor and control what type of content publishers could put in comics. But magazines were largely free from this same sort of censorship, and Warren Magazine very much capitalized on that loophole. Vampirella is one of their most successful and well-known magazines.
Eerie #114 features Star Warrior by David Jacobs and A.L. Sanchez; The Executioners by Carlos Gimenez; and Haxtur: Panthers, Wolves, and Death by Victor de la Fuente. Cover art by Manuel Sanjulian.
