Released in 1982 by Sun Comics, Go Nagai's Garla captured the monster fandom almost instantly. However, this little monster manga was short lived, as Toei clearly felt the heat and put the pressure on Nagai for the book's likeness to another certain popular monster series. Which one could it be? But one look at Garla, and you'll see Go Nagai infused his own style in the monster genre the best way he could.
