Kyosai Memorial Museum released a series of limited art books in the 1980s, and Volume VI is Kyosai's Drawing Diary. Featuring 250+ pages of sketches by the artist., this collection shows the rough, beginning stages of Kyosai's thoughtful works. At the time period when the original version of Enikki was produced, Kyosai was a regular visitor of British-French architect Josiah Conder. These sketches serve as a timestamp for that particular era.
This book is limited to just 500 prints and this book is number 39, as seen in the credits section. The language is both Japanese and English, although most of the book's content is just pictures of these sketches.
