For an American audience, Kazumi Kakizaki might be most known for his artwork for the Double Dragon video game series. In Japan, he's regarded as quite an influential mangaka, illustrating fantasy/sci-fi epics like Batlle Slave Luza, Tarlna and Liza. The latter, this two-volume set published in 1990 by Kodansha, features a warrior heroine in a battle to save her people. Inspired by "Jungle Queen" and popular American jungle comics of the 1940s, Kazumi Kakizaki has created an entire world akin to Mad Max. Sexy, violent and full of action.
