Throughout the 70s and 80s, Mieko Kawasaki carved out a style of sex, violence and drama in comics that wasn't very often created by female artists. In 1985, she created the manga "Manji." Manji is the Japanese term for swastika in Buddhism, and this story revolves tattooed cult babes!
