Ran Akiyoshi has quite a unique style of drawing glamorous women in dreamlike, subterranean and science fiction scenes. He is most known for his SM King (SMキング) and SM Kitan magazine covers, and working alongside writers like Dan Oniroku. He also did many artworks for other SM magazines of the Showa era, like Kitan Club and SM Collector. Although he passed away in 1981, his legacy lives on in his artworks, and this collection helps share his stories.
