Fujimi Mook's flagship tattoo magazine Tribal Tattoo was an essential periodical for the subculture in the 2000s. Monthly volumes were released that featured interviews with international artists, shop details and flash. They also put out several special issues, like this one in 2008. Tattoo Mode showcases a wide variety of tattoo trends throughout Japan in the late oughts, from Japanese traditional to American traditional and black & grey portraits.
