The Tiger Mask wrestling character has transcended all forms of media and become an actual figurehead in Japanese culture. Several professional wrestlers in Japan have donned the Tiger Mask persona on stage, and it's all based on Ikki Kajiwara and Naoki Tsuji's original manga series from the 1960s. Retold and illustrated many times over, The Star series here is written by Hisao Maki and illustrated by none other than Kaze Shinobu.
